Thylander is pleased to announce the addition of a third neighborhood to the Build For Life fund with the acquisition of “Industriskellet 12” in Ishøj. This milestone follows a five-month due diligence process and productive dialogues with advisors, the seller, and Ishøj Municipality. With an expected project volume of more than 12,000 sqm GLA, the project marks a significant step toward our vision of building a market-leading portfolio of high-quality neighborhoods in Greater Copenhagen.
The project is expected to feature more than 150 apartments of varying sizes, a mobility house with parking facilities and other shared spaces designed to foster a vibrant community and a more cohesive local area. Adjacent to the mobility house, Ishøj Municipality will establish a green recreational area suited for outdoor activities and quality time, enhancing the neighborhood’s appeal and creating an inviting space for all local residents.
Investment & Development Manager, Thomas Gulløv, elaborates on the project:
“We are excited to finalize this transaction after five months of dedicated work from our team. The western part of Greater Copenhagen is a key sourcing area for Build For Life, particularly Ishøj, due to its strategic location near Copenhagen and its excellent access to public transport, social infrastructure, shopping, Køge Bay, and nature. Furthermore, the existing housing stock in the area is outdated, which provides tailwinds to develop a modern and high-quality residential community that will attract both local residents and families relocating from Copenhagen.”
Partner & Head of Development, Lars Bigom, concludes:
“We look forward to contributing to the Ishøj area with a high-quality residential community that meets the growing demand for modern housing. Our in-house development specialists have already initiated the integration of our architecture policy and design manual into the early design phase and are eager to lead the local planning process in close collaboration with Ishøj Municipality.”
The project is scheduled for completion by late 2027.
