Topping-out ceremony for Søagerhusene
On Wednesday, October 8, we celebrated the topping-out ceremony for Søagerhusene in Smørum - the first project in the Build for Life fund, which aims to create high-quality homes with a low CO₂ footprint. The former Søager School is being transformed into 107 functional homes, primarily built with timber structures that help minimize CO₂ emissions.
A key feature of the project is the preservation and reuse of the old gymnastics hall. Combined with newly constructed communal spaces - built using bricks and glulam beams reclaimed from the former school - it creates a vibrant setting for community life and social interaction. This circular approach breathes new life into existing materials and strengthens the project’s foundation in sustainability and innovation.
We celebrated this milestone together with our craftsmen and partners from Sophienberg Gruppen A/S, LINK Arkitektur, Egedal Kommune, and JCN Bolig A/S
The first homes will be ready by summer 2026, with leasing beginning early in the new year. Stay tuned!
