Thylander welcomes high-profile investors to Data Center platform TYDC
Copenhagen, 4 February 2026
Throughout 2025, Thylander Data Centers (TYDC) has built its position as Denmark’s leading data center platform and has now secured backing from a group of high-profile Danish investors. This milestone marks an important step in the development of a fully Danish-owned data center platform built to meet the growing demand for secure digital infrastructure.
The investor group in TYDC now includes Systematic Holding ApS represented by Michael Holm, Sagitta Ventures ApS, WECO A/S, and E. Bank Lauridsen Holding A/S. Several of the new investors have long-standing relationships with Thylander from previous funds, and all bring valuable expertise to the platform.
“We are well underway with the development of our first data center in Esbjerg, but this is only the beginning of the journey toward building a leading data center platform in the Nordic region. The four new partners in TYDC each bring unique competencies that strengthen and scale our platform. Over the past year, we have worked intensively to build deep operational capabilities and a long-term development pipeline for a leading platform under Danish ownership. Reaching this milestone is a great pleasure, and we could not wish for a better group of owners in TYDC,” says Bjarke Mikkelsen, CEO of Thylander.
TYDC is managed on a day-to-day basis by Anders Frich Mathiesen, who is also Chairman of the Danish Data Center Industry (DDI) and has more than 10 years of experience with developing and operating data centers across the Nordic and European markets. The new Danish platform has the capabilities to develop, build, and operate data centers in Denmark, as well as to raise capital and manage investments across different project stages.
“Denmark has all the prerequisites to host world-class digital infrastructure: green energy, grid connectivity, a robust regulatory framework, and geopolitical stability. With TYDC, we aim to create a Danish platform capable of delivering at scale while meeting the highest standards for security, sustainability, and operational excellence,” says Anders Frich Mathiesen.
Speaking on behalf of the investors Michael Holm, widely recognized as one of Denmark’s leading IT figures, adds:
“We have worked closely with the Thylander team over the past six months and see exactly the energy and determination required to position Denmark as a serious player in the data center space. In Systematic, we experience firsthand the demand for this type of digital infrastructure - and this demand will only accelerate in the coming years. We are delighted to be part of this journey and look forward to contributing wherever we can to help build the platform.”
