This year’s Danish Real Estate Awards were presented on September 10th by Estate Media, who, according to tradition, had brought the Danish industry together for the Real Estate Days 2020, which this year was held at Marienlyst Beachhotel in Elsinore.
Thylander received the award for “Transaction of the Year 2020” for the purchase of the property complex on Holmen’s Canal in central Copenhagen, which today houses Danske Bank’s Head Office.
CEO and managing partner, Kristian Krogh, received the award on behalf of Thylander and praised the team behind the transaction.
The Transaction is a total property complex of approximately 50,000 sqm spread over 15 buildings, uniquely located by King’s Square in the area between Holmens Kanal, Bremerholm and Vingårdsstræde in central Copenhagen. The oldest buildings are more than 200 years old and contain important architectural values and a rich history – not just about Danske Bank, but also about Copenhagen and Denmark.
When the transaction was announced in the spring, Thylander’s Chairman of the board, Lars Thylander, said: “This is a unique and historic opportunity to enrich the city with a new unique urban environment in high quality for the benefit of Copenhagen. An opportunity like this is only encountered a few times in life, and we are proud that Thylander will have the central role in unleashing the potential for the benefit of current and future generations. ”
